So i’ve never had a tumblr before and honestly, I just got one to write this. The Twitter character limit won’t let me explain what I want to sometimes, so I figured I’d do this.
I got a call from my friend Jake (who is also a touring musician) awhile back and we got to talking about life on the road, meeting people, what Jesus has done with our lives, and how we sometimes wish we had more time. You see, when we’re on tour, we are generally in a city for 1 night. Now no matter who I meet, who I get into a conversation with, or how profound that conversation is, at the end of the night I always have to get on the bus and head to the next city. Now, I’m really thankful for all the people God has allowed me to come into contact with doing what I do, but at the end of the day, I usually only have a couple hours at the MOST to talk to someone at a show and that can be really disheartening when that person is really looking for someone to talk to, get advice from, pray with, or just listen to what’s taking place in their lives. Jake explained to me that he was on the exact same page.. and that he decided to do something about it. He has started a website called Heart Support, and I am getting involved in it with him. The goal of this website is to be a place that people can come to and have someone to talk to, connect with, and in general to have a place where you know someone is there to listen. We have teamed up with some really awesome dudes (and one really awesome dudette) to form this team of people who honestly and truly want to be there to show the love to others that has been shown to us in our lives. Whatever the question, whatever the situation is, whatever problem you have, there is someone here to listen and help.
